Fall 2022 Go Green

Anthem residents are invited to the Anthem Community Council’s semi-annual drive-thru Go Green event on Saturday, Oct. 8 from 8-11 a.m., in the lower parking lot of Anthem Community Park, 41703 N. Gavilan Peak Pkwy.

The event is free to Anthem residents. Only residential vehicles will be allowed to enter; no oversized trucks, U-hauls, trailers, or RVs. 

Residents must be in line no later than 10:45 a.m. to participate. Participants will be asked to provide one form of Anthem residency identification before entering (driver’s license, utility bill, etc.). Enter the line starting on Anthem Way, head south on Freedom Way, and west on Whitman Drive, to the entrance. The vehicle must exit the park onto Gavilan Peak Parkway. 

Republic Services, with Pro-Shred, Safety Kleen, Westech, Lighting Resources LLC, Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, St. Vincent De Paul, and other community partners, makes the event possible for residents to recycle items. 

The following is a summarized list of acceptable items. Residents can see the detailed list onlineatanthem.com:

•    Documents/Other Paper materials; five banker box size limit
•    Electronic devices, parts, components, and batteries
•    Household appliances
•    Household Hazardous Waste
•    Paint, residential only; limit of eight one-gallon containers
•    Prescriptions/Medications, pills or capsules only; no liquids
•    Donations of gently used clothing, toys, bedding, furniture, and other household items 

Unaccepted items include smoke detectors or other devices containing radioactive components, Freon, commercial paints, medical sharps, pressurized tanks, ammunition/explosives, fluorescent light ballasts, or other items containing PCBs. The complete restricted list is published onlineatanthem.com
