Did you know that neither the ACC nor your HOA is the provider for bulk trash pickup in the community? This service is offered by either Republic Services (east of I-17) or the city of Phoenix (west of I-17).
Twice annually, the ACC partners with Republic Services to offer the Go Green event to the entire community. Held each spring and fall (the next event is scheduled for Oct. 9), this drive-thru event offers residents the opportunity to drop off bulk trash, recycling, donations, electronics, paint/household hazardous waste, and more. However, residents are encouraged to take advantage of the curbside bulk pickup opportunities in the community on a more regular basis, so that the amount dropped off by residents during Go Green is minimized.
“We are so grateful to our Go Green partners for offering the twice-annual drive-thru event,” said Kristi Northcutt, the ACC’s Senior Director of Community Relations. “Even though we process an impressive three cars per minute, the lines become longer and the trucks fill quickly when residents bring loads full of material to drop off.”
Curbside pickup is quick, easy, and allows residents year-round opportunities to clean house. Brochures on the ACC website are created and provided to the ACC by Republic Services and the city of Phoenix.
On the homepage of the website, scroll to the box in the middle and click on the ‘Document & Forms’ icon, then select ‘Bulk Trash’ from the list to view schedules and lists.
Contact your trash provider directly for all questions regarding recycling, trash and bulk pickup, including schedule and zoning information.
