ACC Board appoints Roersma to vacant seat

Jacque RoersmaThe Anthem Community Council Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Jacqueline Roersma has been been appointed to fill the vacant Parkside seat on the Board through April 2021. The seat became available due to the appointment of previous Board president Terry Mullarkey (representing Parkside) in October as Community Executive Officer.

An Anthem pioneer, Jacqueline was one of the community's first homeowners and business owners (Phantom Realty) with her husband, Hans. She has previously volunteered on the ACC's Commercial Design Review Advisory Committee, assisted with and participated in every veterans parade, has hosted a booth in all but one Anthem Days, contributed to the Anthem Veterans Memorial, and has been involved with many other charities through the years. In her appointed role to the Board, she hopes to assist in protecting the interests of the community and its owners, to compassionately help those who may need assistance, and to increase owners' engagement in the community. Jacqueline enjoys rescuing animals, horseback riding, hiking, and traveling with Hans.

In October when the the Board appointed Mullarkey as CEO and his seat on the Board became available, Parkside homeowners in good standing with both the ACC and Parkside HOA were invited to file a statement of interest form in order to be considered for the appointment. Roersma will serve through the remainder of Mullarkey's term in April; at that time, she may run for a full, three-year term on the Board.

The Call for Candidates to serve on the Board for the ACC and all three HOA Boards takes place in January. Please watch for details in the January issue of The Anthem Way, in eNews issues, and in mailings sent to homeowners' residences.
