Statement regarding COVID-19 impact

In light of the COVID-19 situation, please be assured that Anthem Community Council continues to aggressively increase preventive measures for health and safety at all of our facilities. At this time, all programs/classes/events will continue as planned. However, this topic is rapidly-evolving and the risk assessment may change daily. We continue to monitor the situation and will follow guidance from public health officials at the county, state and national levels. If the status of any planned program or event (including Anthem Days, which is scheduled for March 28-29) changes, we will communicate that as soon as possible.

With the concern and uncertainty surrounding COVID-19, we have been proactively enhancing our already-robust cleaning and sanitation protocols, and are following all aspects of the situation through local, state and federal resources. Enhanced sanitation protocol includes:

  • Staff wipes down all surfaces in our facilities hourly, including chairs, door handles, handrails, faucets, light switches and countertops.
  • Games, tabletops, computer keyboards, remote controls, toys, etc. also are being aggressively and routinely sanitized.
  • Fitness center equipment, weights and mats are wiped down several times daily; machines are wiped down at least hourly.
  • Hand sanitizer stations are available throughout the buildings (Community Center and Civic Building).

Please visit the CDC’s website for more information.
