New ACC Director appointed to Board

DarrinFrancom-webAt a special open ACC Board of Directors meeting last evening, the Board interviewed four highly qualified candidates and selected Darrin Francom to fill the Parkside seat vacated by Ryan Halleran. Halleran announced his resignation at the April 23 meeting and was recognized for his years of service at the May 23 meeting.

Darrin will be seated on June 27 and will finish Halleran's term, through April 24, 2019. He then will be eligible to run for a full three-year term representing Parkside on the ACC Board of Directors.

Darrin and his family have resided in Anthem for nearly 15 years. He is a registered Professional Civil Engineer and U.S. Navy veteran. He has served in various engineering and management positions with the Central Arizona Project since 2001.

The ACC Board's next regularly scheduled meeting is June 27, 6:30 p.m. at the Civic Building. At that meeting, the Board is expected to consider a location for the dog park, which is the next Facilities Master Plan project to be implemented after the pickleball project, which will be completed later this year. The June 27 agenda will be posted online prior to the meeting. Residents are encouraged to attend; there will be multiple opportunities for public comment.
