The sooner children become comfortable in the water, the better. They become better swimmers quicker and the risk of drowning decreases. In fact, 23-time Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps even credits his success to being exposed to the pool early on in life.
Anthem Swim Camp is the perfect introduction for children to the pool. They learn dry-land skills, practice swim drills, review nutrition and play games during this four-day camp. Certified instructors will lead the classes and children receive group and one-on-one guidance.
"Getting children comfortable in the water is extremely important," said Desi Valdivia, Aquatics and Program Manager at the Community Center, "the earlier the better."
