What you need to know when painting your Parkside home

Date Modified: Wed, 03/22/2017 - 1:20pm

The Anthem Parkside Community Association (APCA) regularly evaluates the exterior paint on Parkside homes for the appearance of fading, splotchy or peeling paint. Any homes that appear in this condition will receive a courtesy notice that it is time to repaint.

We know that painting your home can be a huge undertaking. The APCA offers the following tips to help make the process as stress-free as possible.

  • Parkside homeowners have one year from the date of the courtesy notice to complete the painting project on their home.
  • The Parkside Board of Directors has approved new colors for the exterior of Parkside resident’s homes, allowing for more flexibility in customizing paint selection.
  • New color schemes can be viewed online. Color scheme books are available for review at the following retail paint locations:
    • Sherwin-Williams Paints
41780 N. Vision Way, Suite 101 (Anthem Commerce Park, South of Walmart)
    • Dunn-Edwards Paints
42323 N. Vision Way, #103-106 (Anthem Commerce Park, South of Walmart)
  • If you choose to change the color of your home to one of the new approved paint schemes, an application must be filed with the Architectural Review Committee (ARC). Applications are available online. Be sure to include a photo of your home and label the photo as to where each of the colors in the color scheme will be located.
  • If you choose to repaint your home the same color scheme, an application to the ARC is not required.

The APCA is committed to working with residents on all compliance issues. If you feel that you are not able to fulfill your painting commitment within the 12-month timeframe, or if you disagree with the decision that your home needs to be painted, please contact staff@parkside.com or call 623-742-4562.
