MCDOT work will affect Anthem's major streets

Date Modified: Thu, 04/13/2017 - 8:22am

MCDOT logoThe Maricopa County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) will perform street maintenance on Anthem Way, Daisy Mountain Drive and Gavilan Peak Parkway in March and April.

The project will involve striping being removed, microsurfacing and microsealing the streets and re-striping. This work should prevent major maintenance needs for up to five years. This project is owned by MCDOT, as they own the streets east of I-17 (with the exception of the streets in the Anthem Country Club community, which ACCCA owns, not the Anthem Community Council). Resident assessment dollars do not fund these types of road projects; residents' Maricopa County taxes do.

Please view the schedule for details. During work, lane access may be reduced. Work is scheduled to place during the weekdays only, and will not interfere with major events in the community, such as the Daisy Mountain half-marathon/Emma's Run or Anthem Days.
