Jewelry making classes continue through the summer

Date Modified: Tue, 05/16/2017 - 8:23am

The Civic Building program lineup for 2017 builds on the blueprint of bringing back favorites and introducing new options for residents to enjoy.

Jewelry Making classes began in January. The classes are led by Denise Paradis, who has taught jewelry making, including wirework and metalsmithing, for a number of years.

This is a perfect activity for beginners, and also for families looking for a fun and creative way to spend some quality time together. For those who prefer to gift others with experiences rather than things, registering someone as a gift is also a great idea!

Classes are 2-3 hours in length; prices vary by class. All tools & materials are provided. Ages 16+ only, please. Classes are limited to six participants.

May 6, 2 p.m. or June 3, 9 a.m. or July 29, 9 a.m. (choose the one that works for you!): Intro to Wire Working (see example): $40

May 11, 6 p.m.: Encrusted Bracelet (see example): $45

June 17, 9 a.m.: Funky Wire Bead Cuff (see example): $45/copper or $55/silver
