The ACC and Republic Services will host Go Green on Saturday, April 22, 8 a.m.-noon, at Anthem Community Park. This popular event draws hundreds of residents to the park to dispose of bulk cardboard, paper for shredding, electronics and paint, among many other items. A detailed list of acceptable items is available online.
October’s results prove how popular this event is in the community. Items turned in included:
- More than 1,300 pounds of cardboard and 10,000 pounds of paper;
- Over 5,200 pounds of bulk trash; and
- 878 pounds of batteries and 580 CFL bulbs.
Enter the park’s lower parking lot from Whitman Drive and exit onto Gavilan Peak Parkway. To prevent traffic backups, access Whitman from Freedom Way. Vehicles must be in line by noon; proof of residency is required.
Be sure to check the list of acceptable items before you show up at the event.
