The Maricopa County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) is seeking public input for its Active Transportation Plan (ATP). Residents are asked to identify areas where improvements could be made to increase accessibility for pedestrians, cyclists and users of other non-motorized modes of transportation.
Residents may also choose to provide input through an interactive website is now available on the MCDOT website.
The Active Transportation Plan will prioritize the needs of pedestrians, cyclists, and individuals with disabilities who access and use county roadways and connect to adjacent facilities. In addition, the plan will address potential partnerships, explore funding options and recommend potential policies to enhance active transportation in Maricopa County.
The ATP is a key element of MCDOT’s Transportation System Plan (TSP), which identifies and plans for future transportation needs in Maricopa County. More information on both the ATP and TSP are available on the MCDOT website at: www.mcdot.maricopa.gov
